Statement from the Artist:  "Custom wood carver, specializing in chess art. I only use bench chisels and small detail chisels in creating my artwork. I do not use dremels, foredoms, replicators, CNCs, or any other type of 'carving machinery'. These works are truly hand carved pieces of functional artwork.  I have created over 100 different chess set designs and have personally made over 1,000 sets. My sets have been sold around the world for over 15 years.  Not only can you purchase sets of my design, I specialize in creating sets based on your ideas. Let's get something straight right away about the use of the word 'custom'.   Custom made means more then getting to choose a color or having your name laser-engraved on the border.
