Moxie and Oliver

From the artist:  "My work is an incorporation of traditional leather techniques, and some of my own modern twists. The leather that I use is a thick, tooling leather. It is stiff on the first wear but softens up nicely. The thickness and strength of the leather means that, unlike most leather accessories it will last a lifetime.  My products are meant to be fashionable, but not trendy, so if you're in the market to purchase a belt, wallet, purse or another item that you would like to be able to use for the next ten to fifty years, you've come to the right place."  Find out more on my website:  www.moxieandoliver.com. My previous work can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/moxieandoliver/sets.  Facebook:  http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Moxie-Oliver/14709464940.

Grahtoe Studio

About these artists:  "We are Stacy & Kim of Grah-Toe Studio, a husband and wife team, artists living in beautiful Utah.   We have been creating together for many years. We are often inspired by nature, the amazing landscape shapes and colors here, as well as the places we travel."
Stacy is a wood worker. His attention to detail allows him to make things like a chain in a toothpick! He has been a sculptor as long as he can remember. He is the big hand in creating our hair forks as he does most of the wood cutting, shaping and sanding.
Kim has always been an artist as well and has a degree in studio art with a focus on pottery. Kim also loves making and wearing jewelry and hair art. Kim draws the patterns out for the hair forks and does most of the finishing.
"We love being full time artists and hair is a passion of both of us. We, both being long-hairs, realize the need for a smooth, well fitting product that does not pull or damage the hair or head in any way. We strive to make very unique and functional hair forks that are not prone to breaking. This started from my, Kims, need to find something to hold her thick hair.It seemed to break anything available for thick hair.  Our blog also features videos of updos that you can do with our hair forks, as well as an instructional video on HOW to use a hair fork if you never have!  http://grahtoestudio.blogspot.com/2011/05/some-bun-fun.html

"Our studio got its name from a traveling experience..we drove from Florida to the west coast..the rock formations are amazing, some of which are called grottos. As christians, we believe that our artistic talents are a gift from God that we are grateful for all the way down to our toes! As we traveled and marveled we tossed these concepts around ,along with the amazing earth the Lord has given us to enjoy and we decided to call our studio Grah(from grateful) Toe( to our toes) ! So Inspired Creations from Grah-Toe Studio! "  You can also click through to the shop via the post title above.

Woodford Dell Designs

Statement from the Artist:  "I have been into art and making things my whole life. I love to carve, make quilts, sculpt and whatever else strikes my creative fancy. I mainly use limbs pruned from my own trees and also from my family and friends for spoons and other carvings. I put a lot of love and time into whatever I make. I don't like repetition too well, so all of my creations might be similar but never exactly the same."  To visit the artists shop, click on the post title above.
