The Mud Place

About this Artist:  "I grew up in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains, where I still reside and have my studio. The Mud Place sells handmade functional and decorative pottery like mugs, bowls, serving and tableware, shaving and lather bowls, yarn bowls, pitchers, teapots, home decor, kitchen helpers, bathroom and office accessories, miniature pottery and more! Everything you see in my shop is handcrafted by me, Leslie, from stoneware clay. I mix my own glazes and they are all food safe and non-toxic. My functional work is dishwasher and microwave safe. I always try to put function before decoration. To me, art is not just something to hang on a wall. Art fused with function is paradise to me. Most of my work is wheel-thrown pottery and I also incorporate slab, carving and sculpture techniques. If you would like to learn more about what I do, check out my website: http://www.themudplace.com/."

Ruth Robinson Ceramics

From the Artist:  "I'm a Ceramic Artist specialising in Porcelain and Stoneware Sculptures, Water Etched Porcelain, Wall Art and Buttons. Variety is the spice of life.  I work from my studio (aka, the shed at the end of garden) in Cheshire, England.  I make things that appeal to me, the kind of things I'd like to keep.  It's a luxury I can't really afford, but it's what keeps me inspired. Some mornings I wake up wanting to manhandle a sculpture, or I may spend months obsessing over a couple of buttons."
As a huge fan of the kiwi, I could not resist posting two pictures - and I can assure you that this artist has several delightful pieces such as this for you to peruse.  Click on the post title to be taken to the shop.
