About this Artist:  "I'm Jo, an artisan creating paintings & fabric art using non-toxic environmentally friendly materials. I specialize in small scale paintings & fabric art, creating pieces from 2 to 20 inches, celebrating the beauty, diversity and endless possibilities of the small format. Small things are beautiful.  Located in Vancouver Canada I am surrounded by birds & wildlife fresh air and the ocean. I work out of peaceofpi studio on the shores of Burrard Inlet on the west coast of Canada."
Artists Statement:  "Her art reflects a connection to the imperfect things in life, which she expresses in both abstract and figurative forms. Her pieces draw attention to the beauty and texture of all things aged, weathered and flawed.  Birds feature prominently in her compositions to symbolize both the commonplace and the mysterious. Most of all, birds symbolize freedom from materialist values and consumerist culture. Her practice is to recycle reduce waste and be kind to the environment. She uses only AP certified non-toxic materials."
