Statement from the Artist:  "Welcome to Gaptooth Studios! All objects in this store were made under the twinkling christmas lights of my attic studio in Richmond, Virginia. Each piece is sculpted from a beautiful white English porcelain, colored with ceramic underglazes and fired to 2200 degrees (cone 6). Statement from the Artist:  "My artistic career began with artist parents. I studied at a fine arts high school and have a BFA in fine arts. I work in many mediums. I am a painter and collage artist, clay artist, sculptor, designer, writer, singer, mother & have had some very interesting jobs. I live and work in a beautiful woodsy spot near Lake Michigan, which is always inspiring.  I love working in high-fire clay because it has the capacity to travel through time. Consider that in purchasing a stoneware mug, for example, you have something that can be passed from generation to generation, potentially lasting for hundreds, even thousands of years."
