Desert Rubble

About this artist: "I'm a self taught crafter, an obsessive one at that. I've done everything from cross stitch and crochet to scroll sawing, designing and making painted wood crafts to all manner of concrete crafts. I still LOVE my scroll saw but polymer clay is my current obsession and I love this stuff. I feel my style and skill has a lot of evolving to do in the future and I'm excited to see where it goes."

"Desert Rubble  -- for unique, original, artisan jewelry (and other things!) in my steampunk and industrial style, entirely handcrafted by me from polymer clay. All my pieces are of my own original design and I hope you find things here you don't find elsewhere, but even more, I hope you find something you love!"

Ai Clay

Artist Statement:  "Before I stumbled upon the world of polymer clay and sculpting, I was feeling pretty lost in a world where everybody else seemed to harbour dreams and aspirations, until I picked up my first slab of clay. As I poured my heart into sculpting, the hours just slipped by, and I knew this was my calling. Even though I hold a university degree in a very much unrelated discipline (Communications and New Media), I've stood by my passion and am proud to call AiClay my own.  Oh, and some interesting facts about the name AiClay. It has an underlying double meaning.  Ai is the first word of my Chinese name, and it also means 'love' in Mandarin.  Therefore, the brand has got that bit in me, and appropriately shouts that here is a shop all about the love for clay.  To read more about her work visit the site:   http://www.aiclay.com/.  You can also click on the post title above to be taken to her shop.

La Bella Doll

Statement from the Artist:  "My items are all completely my own designs and hand made by me. No purchased parts are used other than the raw materials.   My one of a kind hand sculpted original dolls materialize nose by ear, finger by toe, and they are such a labour of love, sometimes they take years to come to fruition. The only reason I sell them is so I have the space to create more."  To take a wonderful adventure into the world of her creative soul, click on the post title above and visit her shop.
