Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand this artists' talent has always amazed me.  The discipline and meticulous nature with zero room for error would definitely be a love hate relationship for me.  In her own words..."Paper cutting is an art of designs. The art has evolved uniquely (from) technique and imagination. It has been done all over the world to adapt to different cultural styles and tradition."
In the piece above, a crane is dancing when it heard the girl's beautiful piping."  Some of her work entails upwards of 20,000 cuts per piece.  Yes, you read that right....20,000 for one piece of artwork.  If you'd like to see more, you can click on the post title to be taken directly to the shop for more exactness...

This is a beautiful and delicate hand cut artist book about a bear’s journey through a forest. It is written, illustrated and lovingly hand cut by myself. The book is approximately A5 in size, cut on Daler Rowney mint canford paper and is signed on the last page. There are exactly 18 cut pages inside and only 15 books made. This unique book would be great for an artist's book collector or to give as a luxury gift.
This artists lives in London and has a BA in illustration from Camberwell College of the Arts.  "I love butchering paper with my scalpel into beautiful cut illustrations and making anything else hand made."  To visit her shop, click on the post title above.
